Raphinha reportedly came very close to leaving FC Barcelona in the summer of 2024. According to Foot Mercato, the Brazilian revealed this in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung, saying he had made the decision to leave before a conversation with Hansi Flick.
According to Record, Raphinha had already decided to go, until he spoke with Flick on the phone. The Portuguese daily does not specify what came of that conversation.
