PSV Eindhoven are going through a difficult period, with three defeats in their last four matches. According to Voetbal International, the club must be careful not to let the whole season slip away, as a crucial week looms with fixtures against FC Porto and Feyenoord. Kenneth Perez, an analyst for Soccernews, believes that Mauro Júnior's captaincy illustrates PSV's current problems, as the Brazilian is not, in his view, an undisputed starter. He suggests that another player would be better suited to this role.

PSV have nevertheless responded by winning 0-1 on Tuesday evening at FC Porto, a victory praised by goalkeeper Matej Kovar, who made several decisive saves, reports Voetbalprimeur. In a press conference, Guus Til responded to the criticism. The club currently have 19 points after 9 matchdays, according to FCUpdate.
