Blick adds that the 28-year-old could return to the Bundesliga, with Bayern planning a winter move.
Rennes might also benefit from a Barcelona connection. But Football Club reports that Mikayil Faye, on loan at Nuremberg, could yield a profit for Rennes if the German club triggers his purchase option in summer 2027.
