According to Afrik-Foot, Fouzi Lekjaa has promised that Morocco would secure the final of the 2030 World Cup by relying on a reading of FIFA's regulations. He spoke on Wednesday on the Moroccan channel 2M, in the programme Saât Assaraha.

Spain, for its part, is campaigning for this final to be played at the Bernabéu, reports Foot Mercato. The two countries have been engaged in a media battle for several months.

FIFA will soon send a delegation to Morocco, Spain and Portugal to examine the infrastructure of the cities in contention, according to Afrik-Foot. This visit is an important step before the final designation of the host stadium.
