According to Voetbal International and Voetbalzone, Hakim Ziyech made his first start for Botafogo in the league match. The 33-year-old attacking midfielder, signed to strengthen the team, was reportedly a positive presence with his passing quality, but the Brazilian club conceded another defeat, Voetbalnieuws reports.

According to Dutch media, coach Tite has won only one of his last nine league matches. The Moroccan international failed to reverse the momentum. According to Globo, Ziyech was set to start from the beginning, and Matheus Martins was making his return. The club's winless run continues.
