Zirkzee trains with Netherlands ahead of Serbia match

According to Voetbal International, Joshua Zirkzee completed his first training session with the Netherlands on Saturday, ahead of the trip to Serbia. NOS and NU.nl confirm the journey.

Joshua Zirkzee took part in his first training session with the Dutch national team on Saturday, reports Voetbal International. The Manchester United striker has been called up to replace the injured Brian Brobbey. He was then due to fly to Belgrade, where the Netherlands face Serbia.

According to NOS, Zirkzee had arrived the day before and the team were due to travel in the afternoon. NU.nl states that the delegation travels to Serbia without two players, without specifying who they are.

Ahead of this match, former international Zeljko Petrovic criticised the Serbia squad, saying they lack composure and clarity, reports Voetbalprimeur.
