According to several Brazilian media outlets, Vasco da Gama beat Coritiba 5-0 on Saturday and provisionally leave the relegation zone of the Brasileirão.
Vasco da Gama inflicted a heavy 5-0 defeat on Coritiba on Saturday at São Januário in round 28 of the Brasileirão, report Placar, Metrópoles and RTP Desporto. The club, coached by Portuguese Pedro Emanuel, provisionally leave the relegation zone and sit 16th with 31 points, Metrópoles states.
According to UOL Esporte, Vasco could finish the round outside the Z-4. Pedro Emanuel, quoted by Terra, said he had been "more part of the crowd" than a coach during the match.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Vasco's under-17 side also beat Santos 5-0, according to Gazeta Esportiva. Santos, with 27 points, risk leaving the G8 of the Brasileirão sub-17 at the end of round 18.
