Tijjani Reijnders admits leaving Manchester City for money in Saudi Arabia

According to The Independent, Tijjani Reijnders, a former Manchester City midfielder, has acknowledged joining Saudi Arabia for financial reasons.

Tijjani Reijnders, a former Manchester City midfielder, has admitted leaving the club for money. According to The Independent, he said: “Why wouldn’t I?” after leaving in the summer, following just one season at Manchester City.

So Foot reports that the player, now in Saudi Arabia, confirmed that his choice was motivated by financial considerations. The Daily Mail, which describes him as a Manchester City “flop”, says he also stated that he does not want to work after retiring from football.
