Breel Embolo has been dismissed from the Switzerland national team, the Swiss federation announced on Friday, without giving a reason. According to RTP Desporto, the media report that the decision is linked to a judicial conviction for using fake Covid-19 test certificates.

This comes after Granit Xhaka was also excluded, as reported by Le Parisien and ANSA. Several outlets, including A Bola and zerozero, confirm the new absence for the opening Nations League matches.
