Henk Fraser got off to a winning start as Suriname head coach. According to Voetbalprimeur, his side won 2-3 on Honduras' turf at the Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, after coming from behind.

The Dutch outlet described it as a "stunt" for Fraser in his first match. AD also reported the victory, the first under Fraser's leadership, secured after a fine comeback.
