Sunderland manager says Brobbey's hamstring injury is not serious

Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris has said Brian Brobbey's injury is not serious, according to multiple Dutch media reports.

Sunderland have eased concerns over Brian Brobbey's fitness. Manager Régis Le Bris said the injury is not serious and the striker will not be sidelined for a long period, according to NOS and NU.nl.

Le Bris gave the update during Thursday's press conference ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, reports Voetbalnieuws. The Dutch international picked up the injury during the international break, but the Sunderland boss is confident he will be back soon, according to Soccernews.

However, a return this weekend would come too early, adds Soccernews. Metro also reported on the injury update ahead of the Sunderland vs Brighton game.
