According to Tuttosport, this backing “has never been lacking”, as Malagò said during a visit to Coverciano, where he met the Nazionale ahead of the upcoming Nations League matches.
The league president, Ezio Simonelli, also spoke, as quoted by Corriere dello Sport: “Serie A is always by his side”, he said, adding that “the clubs voted for him”. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Simonelli described the issue as “almost superfluous”, while Malagò called for trust to be restored.
