Cristiano Ronaldo is targeting his 1,000th career goal while playing for Portugal, reports Sky Sports. The forward had considered stepping away from international football after the World Cup, according to the same source.

TuttoMercatoWeb quotes Ronaldo as saying, "If I thought about stepping aside after the World Cup? Yes, I always reflect on my decisions." The Italian outlet adds that he believes he will reach 1,000 goals.
