According to several Brazilian media outlets, midfielder Raniele, injured in the knee during the classic against Palmeiras, will undergo surgery and could be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Raniele will undergo knee surgery. The Corinthians midfielder suffered a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee, according to Gazeta Esportiva and Placar, during the defeat against Palmeiras on Sunday. The club confirmed the injury in a statement, reports Terra.

According to ge (Globo), the player will go through surgery. Terra indicates that he could miss the rest of the season. Gazeta Esportiva specifies that he will have to be absent for the upcoming matches.
