Nicky Butt has criticized Michael Carrick's handling of Matheus Cunha at Manchester United. According to Football365, the former United star believes Carrick has been “killing” Cunha this season by deploying him in the wrong position.

TEAMtalk reports that a long-serving United player from the Fergie years shares a similar view, suggesting Carrick is “ruining” one of his best players with a decision he repeats every week. The criticism centers on a positional call that, in the eyes of these former players, is holding Cunha back.
