Nicholas Walsh to referee Sporting CP – LASK Linz in Champions League

The LASK Linz home match against Sporting CP, counting for the third round of the Champions League, will be refereed by Scottish official Nicholas Walsh, UEFA announced on Monday, according to Bola na Rede and zerozero. The appointment comes as the LASK Linz delegation has arrived at Alvalade, where the Austrian club says it is "alerted" and considers that "Sporting are not inferior to Liverpool," reports Record.

Nicholas Walsh had already crossed paths with Sporting in European competition, indicates Maisfutebol. A Bola also confirms the appointment of the Scottish referee for this match.
