A lightning comeback

France beat Belgium 4-1 at Stade de France, Paris, in matchday four of Group 1 of the Nations League. Trailing, the Blues turned the game around in the second half and moved clear at the top of their group, according to Gazeta Esportiva.

According to the Brazilian site, France scored four goals in under five minutes after the break. Doué, Vandervoort own goal and Olise, who scored a brace, netted the French goals. The French response came after a difficult first half in which Belgium had opened the scoring.

French bench decisive

Placar daily highlights the role of substitutes in this win. Olise and Doué, who came off the bench, "commanded" France’s victory, which now leaves them with 10 points in Group A. Globo also mentions a wide French victory, achieved after trailing, and stresses that France remain top of their group.

This fourth matchday therefore favoured the Blues, who managed to overturn a difficult situation. The introductions of Olise and Doué changed the course of the match, allowing France to impose themselves clearly against a Belgian side that had nonetheless taken the lead.

Italy keep pace

In the same group, Italy also won, beating Turkey, reports Terra. The two nations have thus strung together wins in this matchday, with France retaining first place in the group thanks to their win and favourable goal difference.
