According to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), 10 of the 33 players called up for the Italy team will not travel to Bursa, Turkey, where the Azzurri must face the Turkish national team in the Nations League. The decision, reported by the ANSA news agency, splits the group.
The FIGC explains that this choice aims to avoid subjecting the entire squad to a tiring transfer to Turkey. The 10 players will remain to train at Coverciano with part of the staff, ahead of the trip to France and the Bologna match against the Turks.
