Metz lose Nampalys Mendy for several months after quadriceps tendon rupture

According to L'Équipe and Foot National, FC Metz have announced that Nampalys Mendy is suffering from a rupture of the quadriceps tendon in his left knee and will be out for several months.

FC Metz will have to cope without Nampalys Mendy. The club, fifth in Ligue 2, announced on Thursday that their midfielder has suffered a rupture of the quadriceps tendon in his left knee, according to Foot National. Per L'Équipe, this injury should keep the player off the pitch for several months.

So Foot also mentions a serious injury for the Senegalese international, affected in the knee. The club has not specified the exact duration of his unavailability.
