Lille president Olivier Létang elected to EFC board ahead of Marseille's Stéphane Richard
Olivier Létang, president of Lille, has been elected to the board of the EFC, the association of European clubs, according to L'Équipe and RMC Sport.
Olivier Létang, president of Lille, has been elected to the board of the European Football Clubs (EFC), the powerful association of European clubs. According to L'Équipe and RMC Sport, he won the vote against Marseille president Stéphane Richard, replacing Pablo Longoria.
Létang and Richard had both been candidates for the position, as reported by L'Équipe on September 28. Foot Mercato also noted that the vacancy left by Longoria had attracted the interest of the two French executives.
So Foot confirms Létang's election to the EFC board, a body described by RMC Sport as a powerful syndicate of European clubs.
