The meeting between FC Lorient and Stade Brestois 29, counting for the 9th round of Ligue 1, will not take place on Saturday as planned. According to Onze Mondial, the match has been moved forward by two days, to Monday evening, following a decision by the Morbihan prefecture. Le Figaro confirms that this postponement was requested by this administrative authority.

A schedule disrupted by the national context

Maxifoot points out that the situation in France is again affecting the programme of the 9th round of Ligue 1, as was already the case during the previous weekend. The Breton derby thus suffers a shift that adds to the changes already made to the competition's calendar.

A prefectural decision

All three sources agree on the origin of this change: the Morbihan prefecture requested the postponement of the match. The precise reasons for this request are not, however, detailed in the available information. FC Lorient and Stade Brestois 29 will therefore have to face each other on Monday evening, in a schedule modified compared to what was initially announced for this round of the championship.
