Laporta confirms he tried to sign Lautaro Martinez

According to several Italian media outlets, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed he wanted to recruit Lautaro Martinez last summer before facing Inter's refusal.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Joan Laporta confirmed he called Marotta to sign Lautaro Martinez, but the Inter director allegedly did not let him finish his sentence. The blaugrana president added a new chapter to this file, the Italian daily reports.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, last summer, as with every transfer window, the name of Lautaro Martinez had been circulating insistently. The Barcelona club would ultimately have had to give up in the face of Inter's position.
