Lamine Yamal was the main architect of Spain's victory over Croatia (4-1), according to Bola na Rede. The Spanish forward scored two goals and provided an assist. After this performance, he said, as reported by the Portuguese media: "Mais uma demonstração para a Bola de Ouro," which can be translated as "one more demonstration for the Ballon d'Or." Several media outlets, including 20minutos, Record and A Bola, pick up this statement in their headlines, referring to a new nod towards the Ballon d'Or.
