La Liga apologises to China after Kylian Mbappé's remarks about Mao Zedong

La Liga has reacted to Kylian Mbappé's remarks about Mao Zedong. According to Le Parisien, the president of La Liga "deeply regrets" the player's statements, while L'Équipe and Le Figaro report that the Spanish league "regrets" or "deplores" these remarks and apologises to China.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, in an official note, LALIGA expressed deep regret after statements that sparked "strong indignation and offence" in China. The Italian media outlet indicates that La Liga would adopt all necessary measures.

According to franceinfo, Kylian Mbappé apologised to China, calling his remark "clumsy".
