Jordan Henderson has formed an unlikely midfield partnership with Moises Caicedo at Chelsea, reports The Independent. The 36-year-old was expected to play a role that would not go much further than dressing-room leader, but his performances have given coach Xabi Alonso no reason to change the pairing.

Daily Mail also highlights Henderson's revival, noting he is still running Premier League midfields at 36 and that Alonso values him highly as a mentor in the dressing room and as a player who talks to referees. The report adds that Henderson has not given up on his England dream.
