Icardi wants to return to Galatasaray, the Turkish club reportedly said no

According to several Turkish media outlets, Mauro Icardi, free since leaving Galatasaray, would like to return to the club. The Istanbul club has reportedly refused, reports t-online.

Mauro Icardi would like to return to Galatasaray. According to Sözcü, the Argentine striker, whose contract with the Istanbul club has expired and who has not signed with any club since, has reportedly expressed his wish to return. A Spor cites information from the Argentine press, picked up by Ajansspor, according to which the 33-year-old could resume training under Galatasaray's supervision.

The Turkish club has reportedly turned him down, according to t-online. Per TuttoMercatoWeb, Icardi is still looking for a team, after being close to a return to Serie A last summer with Lazio, before the club and coach Gattuso backed out.
