Getafe eye Sergio Ramos after Carvajal arrival
According to several media outlets, Getafe are considering signing Sergio Ramos, a free agent since December 2025, after confirming the arrival of Dani Carvajal.
Getafe could follow up with a second high-profile move in the free-agent market. After announcing the arrival of Dani Carvajal, the Spanish club are reportedly considering signing Sergio Ramos, according to several media outlets.
Contacts confirmed by the president
Getafe president Ángel Torres has confirmed discussions with the entourage of the Real Madrid centre-back over a January transfer, reports Placar. He is also said to have stated that Sergio Ramos is on the list of players who could join the club, according to OKDIARIO.
Sergio Ramos has been without a club since December 2025, according to Metrópoles. If an agreement is reached, he would reunite with Dani Carvajal, with whom he previously played at Real Madrid, the same outlet notes.
A lead being followed by the club
Maxifoot mentions contacts between Getafe and the player. After bringing in Dani Carvajal on a free, the club would be looking to attract another former Real Madrid stalwart, the French outlet reports.
So Foot reports that, according to Ángel Torres, Getafe are tracking Sergio Ramos. L'Équipe, for its part, headlines a possible attempt by the Spanish club, citing a statement: "His agent has spoken to me."
An arrival in January?
Discussions would centre on a move as early as January, according to Placar. Getafe are not closing the door to other signings of players without a contract, adds OKDIARIO.
