The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has been sanctioned by FIFA. According to Europa Press, the governing body has imposed a fine and a possible partial stadium closure for the venue hosting its next international friendly, due to chants deemed offensive heard during the match between Spain and Egypt in March.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the RFEF, which contests this decision, will take the case to the sports arbitration tribunal. The outlet specifies that FIFA has confirmed its sanction. 20minutos also mentions a severe sanction for these chants.
