Feyenoord are the new leaders of the Eredivisie. According to Voetbal International, NU.nl, NOS and other Dutch media, the club won 2-0 on Saturday in the top clash against AZ Alkmaar at De Kuip. Nacho Ferri and Javi López scored the goals, as FCUpdate and Voetbalnieuws report.

This victory allows Feyenoord to overtake AZ in the standings, according to Voetbalprimeur, which also mentions a debatable moment before the break. PSV Eindhoven, winners 3-1 the day before, have been overtaken, while Ajax were held to a 1-1 draw against NEC, reports TuttoMercatoWeb.

Captain Luciano Valente, quoted by Voetbal International, believes his team can challenge for top honours this season.
