Everton put up for sale by the Friedkin Group less than two years after takeover

According to The Independent, the Friedkin Group announced on Friday that Everton had been put up for sale on the club's official website, less than two years after its arrival.

Everton could be for sale. According to The Independent, the news was announced on Friday on the club's official website. The Friedkin Group, owner of the club for less than two years, is reportedly looking to part ways with it, reports The Guardian.

Sky Sports says the owners are considering a sale, while BBC Sport mentions an openness to a full disposal. ESPN reports that the Friedkin Group, an American ownership, has put the club up for sale. The Daily Mail confirms this openness to a complete sale, less than two years after the takeover was finalised.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Friedkin family is putting Everton up for sale after just two years, and the Italian outlet questions the consequences for AS Roma, also owned by the group.
