Diana Bianchedi has resigned from her position as head of the Nazionale delegation. The announcement was made in a letter published on the FIGC website, reports the ANSA news agency, which also cites Corriere dello Sport and Calcio e Finanza.

In this letter, the former fencer explains that she has “always acted with correttezza e serietà, nel rispetto delle norme e delle persone”, values that are being “ingiustamente messe in discussione”. She specifies that her decision is motivated by the questioning of these principles.

The FIGC officially confirmed this resignation in a statement, corroborating the reports from Italian media.
