The former Manchester United goalkeeper, now at Fiorentina, reacted to the verdict in the case involving 115 charges against Manchester City. According to Estadio Deportivo, he quipped ironically: “So, how many Premier League titles have I won?”

The Daily Mail reports that De Gea joins Rio Ferdinand’s calls to strip Manchester City of the 2011-12 title, following the verdict on the 115 charges. The Spanish goalkeeper, who played for Manchester United, thus questions how many titles he could have won if the rival club had been sanctioned.
