Crysencio Summerville discussed with Real Madrid and PSG this summer
According to Soccernews, Dutch international Crysencio Summerville met with Real Madrid and PSG during the summer transfer window before joining Al-Hilal.
Crysencio Summerville, the Dutch international right-winger, reportedly held talks with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Soccernews. The player, who had just completed a successful season in the colours of West Ham United, ultimately chose to sign for Al-Hilal, despite interest from several major European clubs.
Talks with European heavyweights
According to Soccernews, Summerville also discussed a move with Liverpool and Real Madrid. His personal fitness coach, Ivandro Monteiro, confirmed these exchanges in the pages of FCUpdate. He notably mentioned the player's reaction to these approaches: “Je gaat dit niet geloven!” (“You won't believe it!”), a phrase picked up by Voetbalzone in its headline.
Monteiro, cited by FCUpdate, specified that Summerville had been in contact with Real Madrid and PSG. He also predicted that the player would reach the absolute highest level, without providing further details on any potential offers or the nature of the discussions.
A deliberate career choice
According to Soccernews, Summerville prioritised Al-Hilal's offer, even though he could have aimed for other prestigious destinations in Europe. The Dutch outlet reports that the player reacted immediately by saying: “Jongen, pak je koffer…” (“Dude, pack your bags…”), a statement that suggests a quick and committed decision.
The sources do not specify whether the discussions with the Spanish, English or French clubs resulted in concrete offers. They merely indicate that Summerville had exchanges with these teams, without it being known whether an agreement had been reached before his final choice.
A situation to watch
No official information has yet been released by the clubs concerned. Monteiro's statements, reported by FCUpdate, remain the main source on these contacts. Soccernews and Voetbalzone rely on the same facts, but only the fitness coach has spoken publicly.
Summerville now plays in Saudi Arabia, in the colours of Al-Hilal, where he continues his career after leaving West Ham United.
