Corinthians pay overdue wages after Caixa agreement
According to Globo and Gazeta Esportiva, Corinthians have paid September wages after unlocking around 27 million reais through an agreement with Caixa Econômica Federal.
Corinthians have settled the overdue wages of their employees and players, reports Gazeta Esportiva. The club received the first part of the funds released by Caixa Econômica Federal, the outlet adds. Terra confirms the payment of September wages for the men's team, while the women's team has also been regularised ahead of the Copa Libertadores.
According to Globo, the club signed with Caixa, unlocking around 27 million reais. Terra specifies that this amount had been blocked. Despite this regularisation, debts remain towards the players, notably on image rights, indicates Gazeta Esportiva.
