Conte: Premier League clubs have a bazooka, others use pistols
Antonio Conte, in an interview with The Athletic, said he is waiting for a project that fits his ambitions and could take a job mid-season, according to multiple reports.
Antonio Conte has opened up about his future and the current state of the transfer market in an interview with The Athletic, as reported by several European outlets. The Italian coach, 57, said he is not interested in returning to football just to pad his resume, and he is waiting for a project that matches his ambitions.
Conte also commented on the financial gap between leagues, stating that in the Premier League, clubs have a "bazooka" at their disposal, while elsewhere they are still using "pistols." He expressed a desire to join a club that has lost sight of its own history, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport and A Bola.
He admitted he could even take on a job in the middle of the season, as Trivela reports.
