The South American football confederation (Conmebol) has fined Corinthians. According to Globo, the sanction follows incidents during a Copa Libertadores match. Terra clarifies that this penalty was formalised by the governing body.
According to Gazeta Esportiva, this fine stems from four infractions noted during the second leg of the quarter-finals against Estudiantes, played at the Neo Química Arena. Corinthians, eliminated from the competition after a 1-0 defeat, must therefore pay this amount despite the end of their campaign, indicates Terra.
