CBF unveils 2027 Brazilian football calendar
The Brazilian Football Confederation made official on Friday the 2027 calendar, with a Brasileirão starting in January and a pause during the World Cup, according to several media outlets.
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) made official, on Friday 9 October, the calendar for Brazilian football in 2027, according to Terra and Gazeta Esportiva.
According to Gazeta Esportiva, the Brasileirão will start in January and will be paused for 41 days because of the World Cup, which will take place in Brazil. The Copa do Brasil will open the season and its final will be played as a single match, the outlet reports.
Terra states that the CBF communicated the official calendar in the early evening, while Globo also mentions the release of the 2027 calendar.
