According to Terra, Botafogo has no plans to sack Tite. Striker Tiquinho Soares came to his defence, saying that "the fault also lies with the players." He also criticised the emphasis placed on match bonuses.
Tite himself acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, mentioning a "relegation risk" and an "alerta ligado", according to Placar. Organised supporters went to the training centre to express their discontent, per Globo.
