Ballon d'Or 2026: 28-point gap between Kane and Mbappé

According to several Spanish and French media outlets, Harry Kane would have won the 2026 Ballon d'Or with just a 28-point lead over Kylian Mbappé.

Harry Kane would have won the 2026 Ballon d'Or. According to OKDIARIO, the Bayern Munich striker beat Real Madrid player Kylian Mbappé by just 28 points, at the end of a very tight race. This narrow lead is confirmed by ABC, Marca, So Foot and El Español, which mention one of the closest votes in the trophy's history. Kane would thus have taken the award at the expense of Mbappé, who would have remained just short of the title.
