Jurriën Timber skipped a Netherlands training session on Tuesday, in consultation with Arsenal, according to AD and NOS. The defender is being handled cautiously by both the national team and his club, the Dutch outlets report.

Arsenal are monitoring the player's fitness as he returns from a layoff, reports FourFourTwo. The Evening Standard adds that the full-back is undergoing a modified training programme.

Timber also missed a second session under coach Xavi, per NOS, as part of the agreed plan.
