Allegri suspended for two matches, Napoli preparing appeal
According to several Italian media outlets, Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri has been suspended for two matches after his sending-off against Roma. The club are reportedly considering an appeal.
Massimiliano Allegri, Napoli's manager, has been handed a two-match suspension by Serie A's sports judge, according to Tuttosport, Corriere dello Sport, ANSA and Calciomercato.com. The sanction follows his sending-off in the 3-3 draw against AS Roma, for insulting remarks and aggressive behaviour towards the officials, reports De Telegraaf.
Per Calciomercato.com, Allegri will not be on the bench against Monza and Juventus. Voetbalprimeur notes that the latter match, against his former club, is at risk. Napoli are said to disagree with the decision and are preparing an appeal, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
