Akanji wants everything with Inter, not just the scudetto
According to Tuttosport and other Italian media, Manuel Akanji has said he would not sign for a scudetto and Coppa Italia double, insisting he wants to win everything with Inter.
Manuel Akanji, Inter defender, took stock of the Nerazzurri's season in an interview with Sport Mediaset from the Switzerland national team gathering, reports Tuttosport. Asked about the club's objectives, the player was clear: he would not settle for a scudetto and Coppa Italia double. "Non firmo! Inter, voglio vincere tutto", he said, according to the Turin daily.
A winner's appetite
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Akanji does not hide his ambitions: "Voglio vincere tutto, non firmo per Scudetto e Coppa Italia". The defender believes he is capable of adapting to different systems of play, as he told Sport Mediaset's microphone: "Credo di essere capace di giocare in entrambi i sistemi di gioco".
Champions League in sight
For Calciomercato.com, Akanji's priority target would be the Champions League. The Italian site headlines: "Inter, per Akanji obiettivo Champions League: Non firmo per Scudetto e Coppa Italia, voglio tutto". ANSA, for its part, picks up the same statement, stressing that the player would not sign for a mere domestic double.
Next appointment
Inter, returning from the international break, will face Parma at home on the next Serie A matchday, Tuttosport specifies.
